It was a simple question: "We're at the top of our industry, why are we #3 in search?"

Upon reviewing Food Safety Net Services' website, it was clear what I needed to do to help them achieve better search ranking and marketshare:

1. Improve usability of, and overall visitor experience on FSNS.com’s home page for both desktop and mobile users, to include removal of existing Flash-based elements.

2. Complete audit of existing information in an effort towards clarity of content and elimination of redundancies.

3. Optimization of FSNS.com’s source code structure to contain no deprecated elements so that it meets with the highest standards set forth by the World Wide Web Consortium.

4. Inclusion of meta data and key words to aid in SEO.

5. Addition of tracking analytics to show customer demographics and navigational habits throughout the site in order to confirm improvements to conversion.

6. Analysis of FSNS.com’s link structure and assurance that it’s sitemap.xml file is present and up to date.

7. Re-registration of FSNS.com and its site map with all major search engines.

In addition to search engine optimization, I proposed also to employ imagery that would help reinforce the feeling of “partnership” as a brand differentiator.

While I am completing the final touches on this website, you can check in on its progress here.
