Feed A Friend is a social cause that I myself initiated as a response to a recent USDA report that 1 in 7 families in the United States are without food.

Pondering these figures, I considered how they might correlate with my group of Facebook Friends, and I wondered how many of them were among the hungry, but were choosing to remain silent.

The Feed A Friend Facebook page allows anyone on Facebook to purchase and send a grocery store gift card without having to leave that Facebook page. Once you "Like" the page, click the "Home" tab on the left and simply select a state where someone you know lives who is going through tough times, choose a grocer near them and then purchase and send them a grocery gift card.
